Kendrick Barber – Club Director, Lead Trainer

Kendrick L. Barber is a native of Louisiana and a 2001 graduate of Woodlawn High School. Kendrick has been a part of the Top Ten All Stars at Colonnade and the NBA Top 100 Players Camps. In 2002, he was named a National Junior Men’s Basketball All American. After graduating high school, Kendrick was awarded several collegiate athletic scholarships. He attended the University of New Orleans, Brown Mackie College, and UCCS. He obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Software Technology from Brown Mackie College. He also has an Associate of Science in Business Management and an Associate of Science in ITB. He was offered the opportunity to play semi-pro basketball in the USA and overseas, but in 2003 and 2005, he suffered several major injuries which ended his collegiate and impending professional basketball careers. After those injuries, he made the decision to focus on raising, his then, infant daughter. Wanting to keep his foot in the sport, in 2008, Kendrick tried out for the OKC Thunder, and he is currently a member of a local Men’s Competitive Level Basketball Team. Kendrick’s plan for his players is to implant within them the same drive, work ethic, sportsmanship and determination that his very first coach – his late father – instilled within him. Those are the values that take root and never die…they’re priceless.
